Formed in Germany in 2003 and based in Berlin, the ATOS Trio (www.atos-trio.de) comprises Thomas Hoppe, piano, Annette von Hehn, violin, and Stefan Heinemeyer, cello. The Trio has garnered top prizes at several international competitions including First Prize, Grand Prize, the Musica Viva Tour Prize and the Audience Prize at the 5th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, First Prize at the International Competition Schubert and the Music of Modern Times 2007 in Graz, Austria and Grand Prize Winner at the Deutsche Musik Wettbewerb in 2004. Recent and upcoming performances include appearances at London´s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam´s Concertgebouw, Frankfurt´s Alte Oper, a tour of Australia and New Zealand under the auspices of Musica Viva Australia, as well as concerts throughout the U.S. as part of the Trio’s Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award tour. It has appeared at such prominent European festivals as the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The trio has performed Beethoven´s Triple Concerto with the Orquestra Sinfonica de Chile at the Semanas Musicales in Frutillar, Chile as well as with the Kiel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academic Orchestra Bonn (both in Germany). The Trio commenced its Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award tour in 2008-2009 and completes it in 2009-2010. |
