Windscape

Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.

Since it was formed in 1994, Windscape has toured throughout the US, Canada, and Asia. As distinguished soloists in their own right and Artists-in-Residence at the Manhattan School of Music, the members of Windscape – Tara Helen O’Connor, flute; Randall Ellis, oboe; Alan R. Kay, clarinet; David Jolley, French horn and Frank Morelli, bassoon -- are master teachers, and also present a distinctive concert series hailed for its creative energy and musical curiosity.  Returning to the Chamber Music Society of Detroit after its highly successful series debut with the Orion String Quartet in 2010-2011, Windscape offers a program of Austro-German music written within a relatively short time frame spanning the Baroque, Pre-Classical and Classical periods and ending with an early work of Beethoven.
